Which ATMs work with Cash App card

Your Cash App card works at any ATM that accepts Visa debit cards. That includes most major U.S. bank ATMs and many credit union or convenience store ATMs. If your card has the Visa logo on it, it should function anywhere that logo is shown on the ATM screen or machine. The Cash App card does not need a special network or bank to work.

How it works

  • Network: The Cash App card is a Visa debit card linked to your Cash App balance. When you use it at an ATM, the ATM reads it like any other Visa debit card.
  • ATM fees: Every ATM owner can set a withdrawal fee. Cash App charges an additional $2.50 per withdrawal if you do not meet their direct deposit condition. If you already receive at least $300 in qualifying direct deposits every month, Cash App reimburses ATM fees—up to a limit announced in their app.
  • Daily limits: You can usually withdraw up to $1,000 per day, $1,000 per transaction, and $1,000 per week, unless Cash App increases your limit later. ATMs may also have their own limit per transaction.
  • PIN: The PIN used at the ATM is the same one you set inside your Cash App. You can reset it in the app anytime.
  • Cash balance: Withdrawals come directly from your Cash App balance. If you have less money than you’re trying to withdraw, the transaction will fail even if your card works fine elsewhere.

Tips before using an ATM

  • Look for the Visa logo: Most machines in places like 7‑Eleven, CVS, Walgreens, or any major bank display it.
  • Avoid high fee ATMs: Independent ATMs in clubs, gas stations, or small shops often charge higher fees.
  • Use U.S. dollars only: The Cash App card does not work with foreign currency ATMs outside the U.S. (unless Cash App expands this later).
  • Check balance first: Always confirm your available balance in Cash App before trying to withdraw. It prevents failed transactions and potential temporary holds by ATMs.
  • Lost or frozen card: If an ATM eats your card or it is declined unexpectedly, freeze it inside the Cash App immediately and contact their support from the app.

If all requirements are already met

If identity and verification steps are done, and your Cash App direct deposits already qualify for free ATM withdrawals, simply use any Visa‑accepting ATM. Fees reimbursed by Cash App usually appear automatically in your balance within minutes, though it can take a few hours depending on the network speed. Always keep an eye on your activity tab to track these reimbursements.
