Which ATM works with Venmo card

Most ATMs that work with a normal U.S. debit card will work with a Venmo Debit Card. The easiest fee‑free option is any MoneyPass ATM. If the ATM is outside the MoneyPass network, it will usually still work, but you may pay a fee from the ATM owner.

Where the Venmo Card Works

The Venmo Debit Card is issued by a U.S. bank and connected to the national debit networks. That means it behaves like a regular debit card, so you can withdraw cash from:

  • MoneyPass ATMs: These are the official fee‑free network for the Venmo card. You can find them in convenience stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, and many campuses. Look for a MoneyPass sticker or use the MoneyPass ATM locator on their website.
  • Most other ATMs in the U.S.: Machines on networks like Plus, Pulse, or Cirrus usually accept the Venmo card. The withdrawal should work, but expect a surcharge because it is outside the free network.
  • ATMs abroad: Many international ATMs will accept the card, but you will pay both a foreign transaction fee and whatever the ATM owner charges.

If the user already meets all requirements for using the card, nothing extra is needed. Just insert the card, enter the PIN you set in the Venmo app, and choose the withdrawal option.

Important Things to Know

  • The card must be activated first: Activation happens in the Venmo app. Without activation, ATMs will reject it.
  • Make sure there is enough balance: The Venmo Debit Card pulls money straight from your Venmo balance. If the balance is too low, the ATM will decline the transaction.
  • Daily withdrawal limit: Venmo allows a limited amount of ATM withdrawals per day. If you hit the limit, you must wait until the next day.
  • Look for the safest locations: University buildings, large grocery stores, and major banks tend to have machines that work reliably and feel safer for first‑time users.

In short, a MoneyPass ATM is ideal and free. Any common U.S. ATM usually works, just with fees. Once the card is activated and funded, you do not need anything else to withdraw cash.
