To use it successfully, you must meet all the U.S. (or U.K.) requirements where the account is registered. This means having:

• A valid phone number from the U.S. or U.K. The app sends verification codes to this number; other countries’ numbers will not receive them.
• A supported bank account or debit card issued in the same country. U.S. Cash App links only to U.S. banks and debit cards with a routing number; U.K. accounts need to use GBP and have a UK sort code.
• Identity verification within that country. Cash App normally asks for your full name, date of birth, the last four digits of your SSN (for U.S. users), or similar identification used in the U.K. Without these, money transfers are restricted.
